Your Headshot Questions, Answered
-
I create headshots for you and your staff at your offices or on location. I can bring a backdrop and lights for a studio style headshot session, which look great. We could also use your location in the headshots, featuring elements of the environment or having it out of focus. I am happy to shoot outside or at a location of your choosing to.
After the sessions. I provide you with a PDF of each persons images for them to choose from. I would then retouch the favouruite selected headshots and send them to you vai a transfer, or some other method of your choosing.

We can arrange a date that works best fot you and your staff to be photographed. Allowing time to set up and discussing what outcome visually you would like.
-
Create a schedule of slots for people to choose from, or assign times for people.
Have a list ready on the day so I can later name the files with the peoples names attached.
On the day, or the day before, if you could kindly arrange a space where the photography would take place.
A spare office perhaps. It’s better do have a seperate office as most people don’t like to be overlooked when having their portraits taken.

I take around 30 minutes to set up for a studio style session. Please arrange the space before I arrive, pushing a tables to the side as best you can and removing any chairs that could be in the way.
If we are doing an environment style session then I would need to view the areas before we start, an hour approx should be sufficient.
I would suggest 10-15 minutes per person. If you are on a budget and have a great many people to get through, we can discuss doing the sessions quicker.

I am an experienced photographer and take time to make people feel relaxed and comfortable. Whilst a great many people feel anxious about having their portraits taken I do take pride in giving them the best experience possible.
I really like meeting people so enjoy my work and I like to feel this translates into a positive happy outcome.

This depends on yout office and work dress code.
Business attire
If you are very traditional wearing suits. Ironed well fitted suits, shirts and ties. Avoid loud patterned ties.
Shave before, for the clean shaved look. I recommend if having a haircut, do it the week before to allow for a little new growth.
Women smart and not too patterned. Trouser suits work well, sometimes it nice to have somewhere to put your hands
Relaxed dress code.
What you feel is appropriate to reflect your company.
Always wear what you feel good most comfortable is- It just helps you to feel at ease.

My aim is to give you enough variety for each person in the allowed time.
I make suggestions whilst shooting and seeing what works best for the person being photographed.
Later, I would make a little edit and send the rest of the images from each session as a PDF for selecting from.
I suggest 10-15 minutes per person if possible.
It gives me and your colleague time to get to know each other, for them to relax and take a nice variety of headshots in different poses and angles.
