Spent two great days of the people of Mckinsey in London shooting their headshot portraits and some working group shots in their offices (this is one of the below}.
The headshots were supposed to be shot in their main office but I decide the images would be better outside. The style was to throw the background of of focus so I needed depth to the space which office allocated to me didin't really have, and the natural light would be better than the mixed lighting the office would give.
We were smack bang in the middle of Piccadilly and Haymarket so there was some really nice streets near the office where I could pull the people off the background to create some nice natural corporate headshots.
The groups shots inside were people generally interacting so I used a shallow depth of field on a 50mm 1:2mm lens shut down to a low aperture often to create this feeling of looking in...I like this reportage photographic feel, where you are shooting around the subjects who are largely just doing what they are doing....
